The Resource Center is an organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism and nonprofit excellencein Genesee County. The Center provides management consulting and technicalassistance services to nonprofit agencies, volunteer referrals to communityprograms, volunteer leadership training, and information (in the form ofpublications and a telephone help-line) regarding the availability of varioushuman services in Genesee County.

Our History
The Resource Center was established as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizationin 1997 through a community-wide effort to address the need for efficient,cost effective community volunteer coordination and nonprofit support. The Center is the merger of Leadership Flint,, in existence since 1973; the Flint Executive Service Corps in existence since 1985 and the United Way Voluntary Action Center and First Call for Help, an information referral service since 1966 and the mid 1940s, respectively.
