Flint, MI - It's time to get a foursome together and plan to join us for a great evening of indoor putt-putt golf at Resource Genesee’s 8TH Annual Polar Bear Open! This fun evening is Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the Riverfront Banquet Center.
Registration is just $25 per person, $100 for a team of four which includes golfing, food and a chance to win prizes. Cash bar is available.50-50 drawings, trophies and more.

The Polar Bear Open is played on a newly redesigned 18-hole indoor putt-putt golf course designed by Mott Community College Visual Arts students.
Sponsorship opportunities for businesses and groups are as follows:
- Gold Sponsor at $1,500 includes a foursome and signage at the event
- Silver Sponsor at $1,000 includes a foursome and signage
- Beverage Sponsor at $500
- Hole Sponsor at $100
A non-sponsored foursome is $100 and individual tickets are $25.
“This is a great way to beat the winter blues. Businesses and organizations can support a foursome to recognize those employees who have done excellent work throughout the year. It is a chance to have a lot of fun and help make a difference in our community,” said Resource Genesee President and CEO Lindsey Younger.
The Polar Bear Open is one way that Resource Genesee supports its valuable programs and services. As a nonprofit organization, Resource Genesee relies on donations, grants, and special fundraisers like the Polar Bear Open. Money raised from this event will go to support programs that allow every individual in Genesee County to give help, get help, and lead in our community.
Resource Genesee is home to the volunteer center for Genesee County known as HandsOn Genesee and runs an adult leadership program called Leadership Genesee. It also has an Information & Referral Hotline, 2-1-1. Genesee County residents can dial 2-1-1 to connect with a wide variety of social services 24 hours a day seven days a week. Resource Genesee also has a program to assist the homeless and near-homeless called One Stop Housing Resource Center. In addition Resource Genesee supports other area nonprofits in a variety of ways.
